What we collect

When you fill in a booking or enquiry form, we collect what you type in: your name, phone number, email address (if you give one), street address and suburb, and the service or plan you’ve chosen. If you attach photos to a quote, we keep those too, and if you use the chat assistant, we receive what you type into it. We don’t ask for anything beyond what’s needed to quote and book the job. Card numbers are typed into Stripe’s own payment page and never reach us.

Website statistics and ads

This site uses Google Analytics to count which pages people visit, and Google Ads conversion tracking to count how many bookings and quote requests came from our ads. These use cookies and collect general usage information such as the pages viewed, the type of device and a rough location. We don’t send your name, phone number, email or address to Google. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on, and the site still works the same.

We also use the Meta Pixel, so we can tell whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to calls, quotes and bookings. Meta receives which page was opened and actions such as tapping the phone number or sending a booking, plus standard technical details such as your IP address and browser, and it may set a cookie. We don’t send your name, phone number, email or address to Meta. You can control how Meta uses this in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.

How we use it

Your details go into Jobber, the scheduling and invoicing software we run the business on, so we can quote you accurately, get the right crew to the right address, and send an invoice. We also use them to take card payments, send text reminders and follow-ups about your clean, and contact you if a booking doesn’t go through. We don’t use your information for anything else, and we don’t sell, rent or trade it to anyone.

Who we share it with

We use the companies below to run the website and the business. Each one gets only what it needs for its part of the job, and each one handles it on our behalf.

• Jobber (scheduling, quotes and invoicing): your name, phone, email, address, the job you asked for, any notes, and links to any photos you attached.
• Stripe (card payments, when you pay for a bin clean or bin plan online): your email address if you gave one, the amount, and a short description of the clean with your street, suburb and clean date. You type your card details into Stripe’s page, not ours.
• ClickSend (text messages): your mobile number and first name, to send reminders and follow-ups about your clean. If a booking fails to reach Jobber, we also text ourselves your first name, phone number and street so we can call you.
• Upstash (secure storage for the website): photos you attach to a quote (deleted after 180 days), a booking while it waits for card payment (deleted after 48 hours), and a record of any booking that didn’t reach Jobber (deleted after 30 days).
• Google Places (address search on the instant quote): the address you type, so the right address can be suggested.
• OpenStreetMap and the Queensland Government’s mapping services (the instant quote map): the map location of the property, to load the aerial photo, lot boundary and building outline. If you search for an address outside our Cairns list, what you typed goes to OpenStreetMap’s address search from your browser. No name or contact details are sent.
• Vercel (hosts this website): everything you send through the site passes through Vercel’s servers, and their server logs can hold booking details and chat messages for a short time. Vercel Web Analytics also counts page views, without cookies and without identifying you.
• Anthropic (the chat assistant, when it’s switched on): what you type into the chat, the page you’re on, and any instant-quote price you’ve worked out, so it can answer.
• Zapier (when we have it switched on): a backup copy of a booking, sent to our own email inbox in case Jobber misses it.

Google and Meta receive website statistics as described above, but not your name, phone number, email or address. Some of these companies are based overseas, including in the United States and Canada, so your details may be stored outside Australia. If we add or change a provider, this page will be updated to say who and why.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as you’re an active or recurring customer, plus the period we’re required to retain records for tax purposes under Australian law. If you ask us to delete your details and you’re not an active customer, we will.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time — just call or email us using the details below.
